Job summary

TERADYNE in the Philippines invites applications for a PCB Technician role. The candidate will handle PCBAs, perform full test procedures, interpret data logs and troubleshoot with engineers. Attention to detail and compliance with procedures are essential.

Electronics technology graduates with board repair experience are preferred; knowledge of desoldering/soldering, and hardware/software validation for testers is a plus. Local candidates only; visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Graduates in Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics with board repair experience.
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, desoldering/soldering, and repair.
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for test equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick up PCBA assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and system setup.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps with engineers.
• Run defined steps to fix the PCBA performing repetitive testing and troubleshooting.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure rework quality and defect absence.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers on process improvements and quality goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Opportunity Overview

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; work with other Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of defined specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked and free from physical defects.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Works with other Technicians and Engineers in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
