Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Line Maintenance team in Metro Manila. The role involves executing electrical and mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with production plans and standards.

The successful candidate will coordinate with departments for machine upkeep, ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, and FSSC, and contribute to continuous improvement through incident analysis and maintenance reporting.

Qualifications

Graduate of technical/vocational course, engineering or related field; certificates are an advantage.
NCII Welding certification and fabrication experience preferred.
Food and beverage manufacturing experience is an advantage.
Familiarity with EHS, GMP, ISO 9001:2015, HACCP and FSSC is beneficial.
Strong communication and administrative skills with MS Word/Excel.
Good team-player with an innovative work attitude.

Responsibilities

Execute electrical & mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with production plans and standards.
Coordinate with departments for machine maintenance and basic equipment care; report non-conformances to supervisors.
Align with EHS, GMP, ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, HALAL, FSSC policies; may assist in internal audits.
Conduct daily line inspections to ensure safety and quality compliance.
Assist in preparing maintenance reports and participate in breakdown analyses for continuous improvement.
Complete turnover activities and other duties as assigned by supervisors.

is looking for a Maintenance Technician.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?

Execute electrical & mechanical preventive and/or corrective maintenance aligned with production plans and established standards – including but not limited to, process & product quality, and machine maintenance;
Coordinate with involved department machine maintenance, basic equipment care, and corrective or preventive maintenance activities for all mechanical and electrical components of the line, as needed, based on implemented machine maintenance systems; and coordinate to the Maintenance Supervisor/s potential non-conformances and possible machine breakdowns;
Align with the implementation of policies and standards related but not limited to EHS Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC; and as in the case may be, form part of the Internal Audit team and ensure compliance on, established management systems mentioned;
Conduct daily inspection of the line and ensure compliance to implemented safety and quality systems & standards, as mentioned;
Assist in preparing maintenance reports; and participate in breakdown analyses to address non-conformances, operational losses, and continuous improvement related to mechanical and electrical components of the line; and provide feedback on electrical and mechanical maintenance to the assigned team and line & process owners;
Accomplish maintenance reports, as needed; and attend turnover activities;
Perform other tasks and functions as may be delegated by the Immediate Superior.

What are the Qualifications?

Graduate of technical/vocational course, engineering or engineering-related courses, preferably Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering; technical certifications and/or license is an advantage;
With NCII certification in Welding and has extensive experience in fabrication
With or without experience, but experience in food and beverage manufacturing is an advantage;
Familiarity on relevant management systems in the food industry including, but not limited to, EHS Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, and FSSC, is an advantage;
With considerably significant communication and administrative skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel); and
Has a good team-player, customer-centric and innovative work attitude?
