Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Maintenance team in executing electrical and mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with production plans and standards.

The ideal candidate should be a graduate in an engineering discipline with 2+ years in manufacturing, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role, and proficient in MS Office and SAP. Strong leadership and compliance with EHS and quality standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any engineering course; license/certification is an advantage.
• At least 2 years in manufacturing with 1+ year in supervisory capacity in maintenance.
• Experience implementing EHS, GMP, ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, HALAL and FSSC.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with production plans and standards.
• Coordinate with department PM plans and maintain all mechanical and electrical components of the line.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, HALAL and related standards.
• Conduct daily line inspections and uphold safety and quality systems.
• Prepare maintenance reports, perform breakdown analyses, and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance on electrical and mechanical maintenance to the team.
• Collaborate with Corporate Maintenance Group and other URC plants.
• Perform tasks for subordinates including direction, development and performance management.
• Handle additional tasks as delegated.

About the role

Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and supervise the Maintenance team in executing electrical and mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with production plans and established standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Maintenance team in executing electrical and mechanical preventive and/or corrective maintenance aligned with production plans and established standards, including process and product quality, machine maintenance, and cost, and contribute to operational compliance based on key performance indicators and key results areas

• Coordinate with involved department PM plans, basic equipment care, and all corrective or preventive maintenance activities for all mechanical and electrical components of the line based on implemented machine maintenance systems

• Ensure implementation of policies and internal memorandum aligned with updates on implemented policies and standards related to EHS Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC, and form part of the Internal Audit team as needed

• Conduct daily inspection of the line and ensure compliance to implemented safety and quality systems and standards

• Prepare maintenance reports, lead breakdown analyses, and initiate strategies and action plans to address non-conformances, operational losses, and continuous improvement related to mechanical and electrical components

• Provide guide on electrical and mechanical maintenance to the assigned team and line and process owners

• Represent the organization in functional congregations, especially in liaising with Corporate Maintenance Group and other Maintenance Supervisors from different URC BCFG Plants

• Perform assigned tasks for subordinates including daily direction settings, capability development, talent management, employee discipline, and performance and goals management

• Perform other tasks and functions as may be delegated by the Immediate Superior

About you

• Graduate of any engineering course, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering; license and/or certification is an advantage

• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing industry, at least 1 year of which in a supervisory capacity, preferably with experience in maintenance operations and exposure in food and beverage manufacturing industry

• Aptitude in implementing relevant management systems in the food industry, including EHS Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL and FSSC

• Prominent leadership, communication and basic management skills (planning, leading, organizing and controlling), team player, keen to details, and organized record-keeping skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams, at minimum) and SAP

• Excellent people management skills, backed by solid experience in coaching, mentoring, employee discipline, performance management, talent development and change management

• Familiarity with basic labor laws and line human resources functions is preferred
