Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an Assembly Line Sustaining Technician to keep production equipment running smoothly and to support continuous improvement.

You will monitor PM and Cal updates, collaborate with operators and engineering on quality issues, and contribute to downtime/uptime reporting through R7/R8 systems.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3+ years in assembly line sustaining roles and is proficient with MS Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in Assembly Line Sustaining Technician roles.
• Experience with equipment for QFN, TQFP and SOIC package assembly.
• Familiar with TS16949 and HSPM quality systems.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and common office software.
• Availability for off-hours calls.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily/shift reports to Equipment Engineer.
• Monitor equipment to ensure uptime; keep PM and Cal up to date.
• Collaborate with operators and engineering to resolve machine and process quality issues.
• Update downtime and uptime reports in the R7/R8 system; participate in AM-PM and 5S programs.

Job Description:

• Comply with company's quality policy and standard code of conduct or guiding values.
• Provide daily or shift report to Equipment Engineer.
• Monitor and ensure equipment are always operational and PM and Cal are always updated.
• Collaboration with operators and engineering in resolving quality issue (machine and process related).
• Responsible in updating downtime and uptime reports thru R7/R8 system, active participation in AM-PM programs and 5S programs.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering field or the equivalent in experience.
• More than 3 years of experience as Assembly Line Sustaining Technician
• Experience in handling various equipment used in assembly of QFN, TQFP and SOIC packages.
• Knowledgeable in various machines for Backgrind, Wafer Saw, DA, WB, molding, plating, marking and packing.
• Familiar with quality system such as TS16949, HSPM.
• Familiar with failure analysis techniques.
• Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Skilled with common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to multi-task across various tasks with shifting priorities.
• Availability for off-hours calls.
