Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Laguna, Philippines, seeks a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to sustain and maintain equipment across Front of Line, End of Line, or Test assembly areas.

You will perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, dismantle and repair machinery, and use test equipment to ensure optimal performance. A 5-year track record in semiconductor manufacturing and a relevant technical degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering technology degree or equivalent with electronics/electrical focus.
• Minimum 5 years in semiconductor or related manufacturing settings.
• Experience in Front of Line or End of Line or Test Assembly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per blueprints/manuals.
• Use diagnostic tools to check out equipment and rebuild as required.
• Assist manufacturing engineers and supervisors with equipment modifications.

Job Description

Responsible in sustaining and maintenance of electro mechanical equipments, jigs, toolings and logistics at Front of Line, End of Line (Back End) or Test assembly.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs electrical, electronics or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Perform PM as assigned.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
• May perform equipment modifications and projects as directed by manufacturing engineer, supervisor or manager.

Work Experience

At least 5 yrs of experience in

Semiconductor company, assigned either in Front of Line or End of Line (Back End) or Test Assembly
