Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a hardware technician to support manufacturing by verifying, repairing, or replacing defective parts.

You will be responsible for timely execution of tasks while upholding quality, safety, and housekeeping in your area. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hardware experience, solid electronics knowledge, soldering skills, and good English communication.

Job Description:

Provide equipment support to manufacturing through verification, repair, or replacement of defective part/boards. Responsibility covers accomplishment of his business unit objectives and deliverables through efficient management of his work. He/she is accountable in maintaining outstanding quality of work, good housekeeping, and a safe workplace in his area of responsibility.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• With at least three (3) years of work experience in Hardware
• Good technical skills and knowledge
• Basic Electronics knowledge
• Able to perform solder/de-solder
• Skilled in computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Power point)
• Ability to work as an individual and or as a team member.
• Ability to adapt successfully to multiple tasks that occur in a rapidly changing environment.
• Hard working and highly energetic and self-motivated
• Can accommodate flexible time and willingness to render overtime.
• Goal oriented
• Full of initiative, passion, and teamwork attitude
• Must speak and write English fluently
