Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Laguna, Philippines is seeking an Assembly Preventive Maintenance Technician to help ensure equipment uptime and quality. You will maintain PM/Cal schedules, report to the Equipment Engineer, and collaborate with operators and engineering on machine and process improvements while adhering to TS16949 and 5S programs.

You will also monitor downtime, participate in AM-PM initiatives, and support a safe, efficient manufacturing environment with strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as Assembly Preventive Maintenance Technician.
• Experience with equipment used in assembly of QFN, TQFP and SOIC packages.
• Knowledgeable in machines for Backgrind, Wafer Saw, DA, WB, molding, plating, marking and packing.
• Familiar with TS16949, HSPM, PM/cal standards, etc.
• Familiar with failure analysis techniques.
• Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Skilled with MS Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to multi-task across various tasks with shifting priorities.
• Availability for off-hours calls

• Collaboration with operators and engineering in resolving quality issues (machine and process related).

Requirements/Qualifications

• Experience in handling various equipment used in assembly of QFN, TQFP and SOIC packages.
• Knowledgeable in various machines for Backgrind, Wafer Saw, DA, WB, molding, plating, marking and packing
• Familiar with quality system such as TS16949, HSPM, PM/cal standards etc.
• Familiar with failure analysis techniques.
• Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Skilled with common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to multi-task across various tasks with shifting priorities
• Availability for off-hours calls
