Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in the Philippines seeks an Assembly Preventive Maintenance Technician with 3+ years of experience to ensure equipment uptime and PM/cal accuracy. You will report daily to the Equipment Engineer and collaborate with operators to resolve machine and process quality issues.

Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering, strong MS Word/Excel skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with off-hours availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or the equivalent in experience.
• More than 3 years of experience as Assembly Preventive Maintenance Technician.
• Experience with equipment used in QFN, TQFP and SOIC package assembly.
• Knowledge of machines for Backgrind, Wafer Saw, DA, WB, molding, plating, marking and packing.
• Familiar with TS16949, HSPM, PM/cal standards etc.
• Familiar with failure analysis techniques.
• Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Skilled with common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to multi-task across various tasks with shifting priorities

Responsibilities

• Provide daily or shift report to Equipment Engineer.
• Monitor and ensure equipment are always operational and PM and Cal are always updated.
• Collaboration with operators and engineering in resolving quality issue (machine and process related).
• Responsible in updating downtime and uptime reports thru R7/R8 system, active participation in AM-PM programs and 5S programs.

• Familiar with quality system such as TS16949, HSPM, PM/cal standards etc.
• Familiar with failure analysis techniques.
• Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Skilled with common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to multi-task across various tasks with shifting priorities
• Availability for off-hours calls
