Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a manufacturing support engineer to assist in product set-up, verification, and first-level root cause analysis.

You will contribute to meeting yield, quality, delivery, and cost goals while supporting the production line with multi-ATE equipment experience. The role requires a BS Electronics Technology, at least 1 year in semiconductors, strong electronics knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office, with bonus for programming basics (C/C++, Python) and RF

Qualifications

• BS Electronics Technology or related technical/vocational courses
• At least 1 year experience in semiconductor/electronics
• Strong electronics fundamentals and analytical skills
• Good written and spoken communication
• Proficient with MS Office
• Basic programming knowledge (C/C++, Python) is a plus
• Familiar with RF, Mixed Signal and Digital testing
• Hands-on experience with ATE tools (Nextest, Credence, COHU, LTX, Advantest, Teradyne)

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing setup and problem isolation support.
• Perform verification and first level root cause analysis on yield and quality issues.
• Support production line to meet company goals.
• Line monitoring and escalate non-conformances.
• Assist in qualification of new process flow/material/test programs.

Job Summary

Provide manufacturing support in product set-up and problem isolation. Perform verification and first level root cause analysis on yield and quality issues during production test. Other responsibilities also include necessary support to help meet / exceed the company goals in product, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost and support the production line to help achieve development goals.

• Perform basic set-up and isolation procedures to support manufacturing.
• Provide support on verification and disposition of hold lots/LRR and non-conforming lots.
• Perform 1st level engineering verification and analysis.
• Perform visual mechanical rejects verification and validation.
• Perform in-line and off-line verification of production issues and initial analysis of non-conforming lots or hold lots/LRR.
• Perform in-line and off-line verification of QA failed lots.
• Provide engineering support on improvement projects.
• Provide support in qualification evaluation/activity of new process flow/material/device/test program/test board.
• Provide engineering support in the investigation and implementation of actions for quality improvement.
• Provide support to Production to achieve plant and departmental goals.
• Conduct line monitoring and elevate non-conformance or concerns.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education Level

BS Electronics Technology or any related technical/vocational courses

Working experience

At least one (1) year of work experience from semiconductor/electronics company

• Good in electronics fundamentals and analytical skills.
• Good in oral and written communication
• Proficient use of computer software such as MS Office.
• Team player and can communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to work independently and systematically.
• Basic knowledge in programming language such C, or C++, python is an advantage
• Familiarity on RF, Mixed Signal and Digital product testing.
• Hands-on working experience in ATE such as Nextest testers (PT, HD, GT, and VT), Credence, COHU (D1x, D10, D20), LTX Fusion, M3650, M3300, LTX DiamondX, Spea C600, Advantest V93K, Teradyne and other equivalent ATE.
