Private Advertiser seeks a Technical Support Engineer to manage the technical lifecycle, troubleshooting, and documentation for Auxiliary/ELV projects. You will install and commission Structured Cabling, CCTV, Door Access, PA and AV systems on site, and prepare As-Built drawings and submittals.
You will produce user manuals and SOPs, document site modifications, and train clients after project completion. A Bachelors in ECE/EE/IT and 1–3 years ELV experience in Metro Manila are required.
About the role
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to oversee the technical lifecycle, troubleshooting, and documentation of Auxiliary system projects. In this role, you will act as the technical anchor for core deployments-Structured Cabling, CCTV, Door Access/Access Control, Public Address (PA), and Audio-Visual (AV) systems. You will split your responsibilities between active technical troubleshooting/commissioning support and producing rigorous, accurate project documentation (such as As-Built blueprints, user guides, and technical submittals).
Key responsibilities
Draft, modify, and finalize comprehensive As-Built drawings, system layouts, cable routing paths, and network schematic diagrams utilizing AutoCAD or similar drafting tools
Compile detailed Bill of Materials (BOM), project submittal packages, Testing & Commissioning (T&C) checklists, and post-installation technical reports
Author simplified user operation manuals and site-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs) for non-technical clients to ensure flawless handovers
Document layout variations, site modifications, and equipment changes made during physical installation
Conduct and verify full end-to-end testing, programming, and configuration of electronic security devices, access control rules, IP cameras, PA zoning, and AV matrix switchers
Diagnose complex network configurations, IP addressing issues, hardware malfunctions, and systemic signaling errors within the auxiliary ecosystem
Validate network infrastructure health by analyzing copper/fiber optic tester reports
Coordinate directly with equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and software vendors to resolve bugs and handle Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) tracking
Conduct formal technical training sessions and system orientations for clients and system operators upon project completion
Perform periodic site visits to audit actual hardware placements against structural blueprints
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Information Technology (IT), or a highly related computer/engineering field
Minimum of 1-3 years of verifiable hands-on technical experience in deploying, troubleshooting, or designing Auxiliary / Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) hardware networks
Strong foundation in roughing-ins, termination, and standards-compliant testing of Cat6/Cat6A LAN infrastructure and fiber optics
Deep understanding of IP cameras, NVR/VMS software setups, storage calculations, and fundamental TCP/IP networking
Experience installing and mapping biometric units, electromagnetic locks, door controllers, and multi-tenant management software
Knowledgeable in setting up audio amplifiers, zone selectors, ceiling/wall speakers, video walls, and professional conference room AV hardware integrations
Knowledgeable in AutoCAD (2D drafting) and Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel for data charts and BOM)
Knowledgeable in Basic Networking
Exceptional attention to detail, highly analytical problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of urgency regarding documentation deadlines
