Brief Description and Purpose of the PositionResponsible for the supervision and execution of technical operations and maintenance programs for assigned vessels, ensuring continuous seaworthiness, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards through effective planning, coordination, and resource management.Key ResponsibilitiesArea/CompetenciesSupporting ActionsDepartment Operations RelatedDepartment OperationsOversee and manage conduct of scheduled Preventive and Corrective Maintenance onboard assigned vessels, including refits and planned work projects.Ensure Proper Risk Management for Technical related operations onboard assigned vessels.Responsible for all technical related concerns onboard assigned vessels.Provide technical assistance to the team in times of machinery breakdownEnsure coordination with the E-Sea Manager and the Shipmanagement Head for planned or unplanned maintenance, as well as on unwanted downtime due to technical problems and the subsequent providing of regular updates Attend vessel sea trials, repairs, and surveys, as necessary for assigned vessels.Ensure vessels seaworthiness all the time by way of regular inspection for assigned vessels.Ensure efficient management of assigned resources of the unit including regular monitoring of inventories for assigned vessels.Vessel Availability and ReliabilityEnsure availability to trade within the agreed plotted schedules for assigned vesselsEnsure technical programs and controls are properly executed to ensure On-Time Departure and On-Time Arrival as per Dyno Schedule for assigned vesselsEnsure technical programs and controls are properly executed to ensure Vessel Port Operational Efficiency (opening/closing of hatch covers) for assigned vesselsEnsure proper coordination and supervision of Technical Works to ensure effective execution and timelines are met as agreed with the other stakeholders for assigned vesselsSafety Management System and Company Security System ImplementationEnsure the implementation of Safety Management System and Company Security System onboard assigned vessels.Ensure that regular and proper technical inspection / audit are conducted onboard for assigned vessels in accordance to company’s requirement.Ensure that technical related preventive and corrective maintenance are duly documented for assigned vessels.Oversee the implementation of vessel Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) based on the ISM Code and Best Shipping Practices for assigned vessels Ensure immediate closure of Engine Department and Technical related Audit Findings/ Identified Non-Conformance (Internal or External Audits including Class Audits) within allowed period for assigned vesselsAssist the E-Sea Manager in the conduct /overseeing of post-incident investigations related to technical operations of assigned vessel to determine root causes of incident.
