• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) credential is preferred.
• Minimum two years of supervisory or technical leadership in power/utility.
• Experience in meter testing, calibration, or equipment testing is an advantage.
• Experience in inventory management, documentation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance is preferred.
• Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
• Willing to undergo training in ETR and Meter Lab.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and monitor meters, transformers, testing equipment inventory and disposal.
• Ensure meters and equipment meet standards and specifications for field installation.
• Supervise testing, calibration, programming, and quality assurance of metering equipment.
• Oversee design, programming, and documentation of power metering installations.
• Address meter-testing complaints and coordinate ERC referee testing when required.
• Supervise equipment testing and repair activities including distribution transformers and meters.
• Assist in substation testing, preventive maintenance, and technical support.
• Prepare periodic technical reports such as meter-testing and inventory reports.

About the role

The position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, adequacy, and safety of electrical meters and equipment through comprehensive testing, calibration, maintenance, repair, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Technical Services Section (TSS), including the planning, assignment, monitoring, and evaluation of the work activities of TSS personnel
• Supervise and monitor the output, productivity, and quality of work of TSS Technicians, ensuring that testing, calibration, repair, maintenance, and related technical activities are completed accurately, safely, and within prescribed timelines
• Manage and monitor the inventory of meters, instrument transformers, testing equipment, repaired equipment, equipment for testing, and equipment for disposal, in coordination with the Warehouse and other concerned departments
• Ensure that all meters, instrument transformers, distribution transformers, testing instruments, and other electrical equipment released for field installation comply with OEDC standards, quality requirements, and applicable technical specifications
• Supervise the testing, inspection, calibration, programming, configuration, repair, and quality assurance of metering equipment, including customer meters, net-metering meters, GEOP meters, RCOA meters, and other power metering installations
• Ensure the proper design, programming, configuration, and documentation of power metering installations, particularly for special metering applications such as net metering, GEOP, RCOA, contestable customers, Retail Aggregation Program (RAP) customers, and other high-value or regulated metering arrangements
• Attend to meter-testing complaints, differential billing meter complaints, and other metering-related customer concerns, including the preparation of test results and technical findings and the coordination of ERC referee testing when required
• Supervise equipment testing and repair activities, including the testing of distribution transformers, instrument transformers, meters, and other electrical devices handled by the Technical Services Section
• Assist in substation testing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support activities in coordination with the Substation Operation and Maintenance Section
• Ensure the proper preparation, review, filing, and submission of periodic technical reports, including meter-testing reports, equipment-testing reports, inventory reports, disposal recommendations, calibration records, and other reports required by Management or regulatory agencies

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE)
• At least two years of supervisory or technical leadership experience in the power, utility, industrial, or related field
• Experience in meter testing, calibration, equipment testing, power metering, transformer testing, or electrical maintenance is an advantage
• Experience in inventory management, technical documentation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance is preferred
• Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and committed to quality
• Familiarity with equipment-testing, meter-testing, and inventory management standards is an advantage
• Willing to undergo comprehensive training in ETR and Meter Lab
