Job Summary
To provide technical assistance to ETS team in day-to-day activities. To perform various Front-End-Engineering assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories in the power industry practices related to electrical engineering discipline. Prepare technical documents like but not limited to drawings, plans, reports, schedule, bid documents and other documents as required per project basis
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct support to the Lead Electrical Engineer
- Prepare Bid Document (Non-Disclosure Agreement, ITB-Instruction to Bidders, Bid Data Sheet, Engineering Specifications, Drawings, Bill of Quantities, Basis of Design, Minimum Functional Specifications, Eligibility Documents, General Conditions of Contract, Special Conditions of the Contract, Bidders Qualification Information and other Forms as required).
- Assist in evaluating the technical qualifications of the bidders, including but not limited to single largest completed contract, ongoing contracts, technical expertise, compliance.
- Conduct review and provide comments on the submitted documents involving electrical works, drawings, ITP, construction methodology, and testing procedures.
- Coordinate within ETS multi-engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, Instrument and Control), EPC contractor, Owner Engineers, Lender Engineers, on-site project team, and any other stakeholders involved.
- Conduct reviews and provide comments on electrical works drawings, design descriptions, site layouts, and other related documents.
- Actively participate in daily huddle meetings, weekly design meetings, and other meetings as needed. Provide updates and minutes of meeting as required.
- Monitor and update the existing trackers related to design and engineering.
- As needed, conduct site inspections and ensure electrical works (cable laying & termination, testing ) comply with design specifications and quality standards.
- Raise RFI (Request for Information), SOR (Site Observation Report), and if necessary, NCR’s if supplied materials, electrical works, or activities are non-compliant or installations/construction are unsatisfactory and do not meet the design requirements.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the management.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the management, including but not limited to monitoring and updating the existing trackers and administrative tasks.
Technical Competencies and Skills
- Proven experience in the field of electrical engineering in design and project execution with strong time management capabilities.
- Ability to understand and interpret electrical engineering drawings, schematic diagram, layout plans, single line diagram, designs, & technical data specifications.
With expertise in using computer operating software (Word, Power Point, Excel, Acrobat, etc.)
- Help prepare technical reports, documentation, and project cost estimates
- With experienced in any field of engineering/design, construction, commissioning and support troubleshooting & repair or any maintenance activities in power plant environment.
- Familiarity with electrical engineering codes and standards like PEC, PGC, IEC, safety regulations and compliance as well as local regulations from DOLE, DENR, BFP, DOE, ERC, & local direct utility regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, I&C and project engineers)
- Ability to understand construction sequences, identify and solve complex technical problems, organize tasks, manage timelines
Education, Trainings and Licenses Required
BSEE; Registered Electrical Engineer
