Job summary

Seapac Philippines Inc is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our on-site team in Makati. You will support sales and marketing initiatives, prepare tenders and bids, and coordinate with the General Manager and Chief Estimator to meet client requirements.

The role requires 1-3 years of related experience and a Bachelor degree. You will interact with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop conforming tenders and provide a professional representation of Seapac Philippines.

• Bachelor degree required.

Responsibilities

Description

The Technical Sales Engineer is a member of the Sales Team who is responsible for the Sales and Marketing of Seapac Philippines which include the preparation of all tenders and bids.

Duties and Tasks

• Responsible for the coordination of our Sales effort by liaising with the General Manager and the Chief Estimator to attend pre-bid meetings and customer requests. This may involve the personal delivery of tenders and or travelling to the offices of our customers as required fulfilling our aim to provide a superior service to our customers.
• Responsible for the proper presentation of all Seapac tenders and bids to ensure the proper representation of Seapac Philippines is maintained as a professional and energetic company.
• Responsible for preparation of cost estimates for the submission of tenders and bid for Seapac Philippines Inc.
• In coordination with Chief Estimator, review client tender documentation and provides Sales and Marketing direction of tender.
• Confer with architects, engineers and contractors to enable Seapac to prepare conforming tenders that with comply with the submitted specifications.
• Assist in the maintenance of the quote register and quote numbering system in accordance with Seapac Sales and Marketing procedures.
• When require, attend Pre-Bid meetings and negotiations with clients and Project managers as required being able to be able to prepare conforming bids.
• You are to ensure that all estimates prepared by you are all submitted on time in accordance with Seapac measurable objectives.
• Assist in the maintenance of product data sheets for all suppliers to enable submission of bids. This will include company profiles and other supporting documentation.
• Ensures commercial conditions are appropriate and suitable to meet actual needs to execute procedure.
• Prepares and maintains the quotation status report.
• Provides Sales data to planner for monthly reporting.

• Ensure all tenders are submitted on time. You are to allow time for the review of your work prior to submission.
• Responsible for double checking your own work.
• Being proactive in understanding the requirements of any given tender and making sure that long lead time items such as glass prices are requested first.
• Being proactive in suggesting alternatives to give Seapac the best chance of winning any given project.
• Establishing and maintaining Interpersonal relationships with suppliers and customers for the long-term benefit of Seapac and you.
• Assisting your fellow team to meet all of the above objectives. You are part of a team and as such you may be required to assist your colleagues to meet deadlines and objectives.
