Job summary

Maya is hiring a Technical Operations Engineer to own root cause analysis, automation design, and resiliency improvements across core services. You will build workflows, dashboards, and health checks to reduce incident recurrence and increase automation coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years in Technical Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, JavaScript).
• Solid understanding of monitoring platforms, log aggregation, traces, and metrics.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, or configuration management tools.
• Exposure to observability solutions (Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus).

Responsibilities

• Act as escalation point for high-severity incidents.
• Design and develop automation scripts and workflows to reduce manual tasks.
• Integrate automation into operational processes and remediation workflows.
• Create dashboards, alerting strategies, and health checks for actionable insights.
• Improve signal-to-noise ratio in monitoring and alerting systems.
• Work with engineering teams to strengthen design, redundancy, and self-healing mechanisms.
• Document troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and technical standards.
• Shift on a 12x4 schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage.
• Lead RCAs and implement permanent fixes.
