We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Maintenance to join our real estate team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and functionality of our properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Job Description
1. Routine Maintenance and Repairs
- Perform regular inspections of buildings and facilities to identify issues.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities meet safety and regulatory standards.
2. Preventative Maintenance
- Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce downtime and extend the life of building systems.
- Maintain and update records of maintenance schedules and work completed.
3. Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs as needed.
4. Property Upkeep
- Conduct basic carpentry, painting, and renovation tasks as needed to maintain property aesthetics.
- Assist with landscaping and outdoor maintenance where applicable.
5. Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with property management and other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts.
- Report on maintenance status, highlight major repairs, and suggest upgrades when necessary.
Minimum qualifications
- Proven experience in property or building maintenance, preferably in real estate.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Experience using maintenance management software.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in related fields is a plus.
- Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
