Job summary

UpTrend Solutions Inc. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Engineer to provide technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for clients and internal systems.

You will help implement and support IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, and security solutions, while ensuring excellent customer service. The role includes onsite and remote support, system upgrades, documentation, and coordination with vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• At least 1 year of experience in technical support, IT infrastructure, or related roles is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common networking devices.
• Knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, Wi-Fi) is preferred.
• Experience with CCTV, structured cabling, firewalls, or security solutions is an advantage.
• Possession of technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, MTCNA) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willing to travel and perform field work when required.
• Must be willing to work extended hours or on-call when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, network devices, and related IT equipment.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to clients and internal users.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of network and security solutions.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or appropriate teams when necessary.
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and service activities accurately.
• Conduct system upgrades, patches, and firmware updates as required.
• Assist in implementing IT projects, including installations, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and clients regarding technical concerns and service requests.
• Provide user orientation and basic training on installed systems and applications.
