Job summary

TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY seeks a Technical Education and Skills Development Specialist II (Re-Open) to lead mechatronics training across center-based and community/industry programs. The role requires building lesson plans, evaluating trainees, and developing learning materials.

The incumbent will conduct studies to improve instructional methods, administer tests, provide guidance to trainees, and coordinate with industry groups to implement RTC/PTC training projects,

Responsibilities

• Conducts training in Mechatronics for center-based and community/industry programs
• Prepares session plans, progress charts and trainee evaluations
• Develops competency-based learning materials/devices
• Studies and researches on instruction methods to improve teaching
• Prepares and administers tests to evaluate instruction
• Provides guidance and support to trainees
• Conducts competency assessment
• Keeps records and submits required reports
• Trainers’ training in special courses
• Coordinates with industry groups/NGOs for RTC/PTC programs
• Implements special training projects for specific clients
• Repairs tools and maintains training machines

POSITION: TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST II (RE-OPEN)

OFFICE: HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION (HRDC), TESDA CENTRAL OFFICE

SALARY: SG-16 (PhP 43,560.00)PERA: P2,000.00

THE HIREE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

• 15 % - Conducts training in basic, common and core competencies in Center-based and Community/Industry based programs specifically in Mechatronics;
• 15 % - Prepares session plan, progress chart, and trainee evaluation;
• 15 % - Develops competency-based learning materials/devices;
• 10 % - Conducts studies and researches on special phases of instruction to improve methods of instruction;
• 10 % - Prepares and administers test to evaluate instruction;
• 10 % - Provides guidance and support to trainees;
• 10 % - Conducts competency assessment;
• 5 % - Keeps records, prepares and submits required reports;
• 4 % - Conducts trainers’ training in special courses/trades;
• 2 % - Coordinates with industry groups/associations, non-government organizations in the implementation of RTC/PTC training programs;
• 2 % - Implements special training projects for specific clients;
• 2 % - Repairs tools and equipment and maintains machines/equipment used in the training program.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a holder of National TVET Trainer Certificate (NTTC)
• Must be a holder of NC Level III in Mechatronics Servicing
• Must be a holder of NC IV in Mechatronics Servicing
• Must be a holder of Trainer’s Methodology (TM 1) Certificate
• Can operate and troubleshoot PLC
• Proficient in oral and written communication
• Teaching experience in the program to be taught
• Knowledgeable in MS Office Applications
• Must have an ability in analytical and creative thinking
• With high level of interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good in networking and linkaging
• Good Moral character and work ethics.
