Job summary

Neutron Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Business Analyst to help elicit, analyse and document business and system requirements for enterprise and analytics platforms in an agile setting.

You will translate objectives into user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with product owners, engineers and UI/UX designers to shape practical solutions and align delivery with business value. Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Experience delivering requirements for enterprise applications, analytics or data platforms in an agile environment.
• Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation skills, covering user stories, functional specifications, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Working knowledge of SQL and ability to interpret data to support requirements and decisions.
• Experience with business process modelling (e.g., BPMN) and with Jira/Confluence or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Engage business users and client stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business objectives into clear user stories, functional specifications, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews to build a shared understanding of needs and priorities.
• Map current and future state business processes, and identify opportunities for improvement, automation and digitalisation.
• Analyse data to support requirements, validate assumptions and inform product and business decisions, including writing queries where required.
• Work with product owners to build, refine and prioritise the product backlog in line with business value and delivery capacity.
• Partner with engineers, architects and UI/UX designers to shape solutions and ensure requirements are understood and correctly implemented.
• Support agile delivery activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
• Define and support user acceptance testing, including test scenarios, coordination of testing and tracking of defects to resolution.
• Prepare clear documentation, including requirement specifications, process documentation, user guides and release notes.
• Manage requirement changes, assess their impact and maintain traceability across the delivery lifecycle.
• Act as a communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, keeping both aligned throughout delivery.

• Requirements Engineering: Proven ability to elicit, analyse, document and prioritise business and system requirements, and to translate them into user stories, functional specifications and clear acceptance criteria.
• Process and Data Analysis: Strong business process mapping and data analysis skills, including the ability to write SQL queries and interpret data to support requirements and decisions.
• Agile Delivery: Hands-on experience supporting agile Scrum teams across the full delivery lifecycle, including backlog management, sprint planning and stakeholder demonstrations.

Experience and Skills Required

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or in a comparable role delivering enterprise or digital platform projects.
• Proven experience delivering requirements for enterprise applications, analytics or data platforms in an agile environment.
• Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation skills, covering user stories, functional specifications, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile Scrum delivery practices.
• Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to analyse and interpret data to support requirements and decisions.
• Experience with business process modelling (for example BPMN) and with requirements and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence or equivalent.
• Familiarity with system integration concepts, APIs and data flows between enterprise systems.
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing and coordinating defect resolution through to closure.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and structured problem-solving ability.
• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in a consulting environment, or delivering projects for public-sector clients, will be an advantage.
