Job summary

Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to drive change, align with organizational vision, and translate business needs into technical requirements for development and product teams.

The role focuses on eliciting requirements, modeling processes, writing user stories, and supporting QA. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage backlogs, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Ideally, a relevant tertiary degree in IT/Computer Science, certification, or qualification, but previous experience in Business/Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing.
• Ability to work on multiple projects with cross-functional teams to execute decisions while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage user stories and prioritize the backlog.
• Review urgent change requests and analyze impact on the system.
• Collaborate with developers to implement requirements and guide testers during QA.
• Develop project plans, estimate time/resources, and track milestones across lifecycle.
• Assist Product Owner with Sprint execution and backlog management.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and protect operations.
• Facilitate Sprint ceremonies and act as Product Owner proxy when needed.

A Business Analyst is a change agent. Understand the vision and goal of the organization.Looking at where they are today, helping out to do a gap analysis, understanding what steps it would take for the organization to get where they are today to the vision the organization has.

• Business analysts understand the Objective and Goal of the business as well as the needs of the stakeholders and end-users, help translate business needs into technical requirements for the development and product teams enabling them to deliver valuable solutions to the organization.

• Proficient in requirements elicitation, business process mapping/ modeling, use cases, user stories, scenarios, gap analysis, business entity models, data analysis, mock-ups, workflow analysis, non-functional requirements analysis, and acceptance criteria definition

• Create and manage user stories. Prioritizing theuserstories.

• Manage and review urgent change requests and analyze the impact on the existing system.

• Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements,providenecessary guidance to testers during the QA process

• Create andmaintainproject schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources,monitoringmilestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providingtimelyreporting of issues thatimpactproject progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts

• Work closely with the Product Owner on the Sprint Execution. Assists the PO in managing the sprint and the product backlog.

• Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential

• He/ShemayfacilitateSprint ceremonies.

• Should act as a Product Owner proxy in his/her absence.

Qualifications and Requirements
