Job summary

BDO Unibank in the Philippines is seeking a senior Account Manager to drive premium budgets and expand the client portfolio. The role requires managing a team, maintaining a healthy account pipeline, and strengthening relationships with bank partners and clients.

The incumbent will lead negotiations with insurance providers and coordinate marketing and operations to service client needs on-site at Ortigas or Makati head offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any business course.
• 8-10 years of account management experience.
• Experience as Unit/Branch Head or Account/Sales Manager in a non-life insurance company, brokerage, or agency preferred.
• Willing to work on-site at Head Offices in Ortigas and/or Makati.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the premium and commission budget for the assigned team or unit while keeping within operating expense budget.
• Maintain an active healthy pipeline of accounts with opportunities from new or existing clients.
• Maximize the business relationship with bank counterparts and clients by assessing accounts and identifying opportunities for new business and growth.
• Lead negotiations with insurance companies for the most appropriate terms and conditions to suit client needs.
• Lead the marketing and operations teams in servicing client concerns.

Responsibilties:

Business Development and Account Maintenance

• Responsible to deliver the premium and commission budget for his or her assigned team or unit while keeping within the operating expense budget.
• Responsible to maintain an active healthy pipeline if accounts, comprised of identified business opportunities from new or existing clients.
• Maximize the business relationship with bank counterparts and clients by assessing accounts and identifying opportunities for new business and organic growth and grow the existing business portfolio.

Account Administration

• Lead in negotiations with insurance companies and other units for the most appropriate terms and conditions to suit the needs of the client.
• Lead the collective effort of marketing and operations units in servicing client concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Holder of any business course
• At least 8-10 years experience in account management, preferably Unit/ Branch Head or Account/Sales Manager in a non-life insurance company, brokerage, or agency
• Strategic thinking and has negotiation skills
• Excellent people and communication skills

• Has extensive knowledge in business operations
• Must be willing to work on-site in Head Offices located in Ortigas and/or Makati
