Job summary

Scorpio is seeking a Pumpman for deployment on board a vessel operating from Manila. The contract/temporary role focuses on cargo, ballast operations, tank cleaning, and maintaining deck equipment with safety and environmental compliance.

You will perform inspections, assist in maintenance, and follow SOLAS/MARPOL guidelines, reporting to the Chief Officer. Candidates should demonstrate leadership, reliability, and the ability to work under merit-based processes.

Qualifications

• Essential Knowledge: The Pumpman must be familiar with company policies, SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state regulations.
• Essential Skills and Abilities: Effective leadership, communication, and reporting; ability to operate, maintain, and repair deck equipment.
• Experience: Leadership in cargo and ballast operations and maintenance of cargo/deck equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cargo and ballast operations, tank cleaning, and mooring activities.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of cargo systems and equipment for good working order.
• Assist in maintenance and repairs of cargo and ballast equipment; maintain deck stores inventory as delegated by the Chief Officer.
• Follow safety, environmental and security procedures and regulations.
