Job summary

Scorpio's Bosun role is based aboard the vessel managed by 88 Aces Maritime Services Inc., Manila, with focus on efficient cargo handling, ballast, mooring and deck maintenance. You will supervise the deck crew and prioritise safety, security and environmental compliance.

The role requires proven seamanship, rope work, and leadership, with adherence to SOLAS, MARPOL and flag state regulations, ensuring high standards of deck operations and vessel readiness.

Qualifications

• Familiar with SOLAS, MARPOL and flag state regulations.
• Strong leadership and Crew supervision abilities.
• Experience in deck operations and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cargo and ballast handling, mooring and anchoring operations.
• Plan and oversee deck maintenance and ensure equipment readiness.
• Maintain deck stores inventory and supervise deck crew for safety and compliance.
