Job summary

Scorpio in Manila seeks an Ordinary Seaman to support deck operations aboard our vessels. You will assist with navigation, cargo handling, ballast and mooring tasks, and help maintain deck equipment.

The role requires familiarity with SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state rules, plus solid seamanship, communication, and maintenance skills. The assignment is contract/temporary with opportunities for growth and onboard living arrangements.

Qualifications

• The Ordinary Seaman must be familiar with company policies, SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state regulations.
• Proficient in seamanship theory and practice, emergency procedures, risk assessment, and hazard identification.
• Experience with maintenance tasks, gas monitoring equipment, deck machinery, and waste management practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in navigation, cargo and ballast handling, mooring, and anchoring operations.
• Carry out deck maintenance and housekeeping as assigned while ensuring equipment readiness.
