Job summary

Nexus Recruitment Group is seeking a capable Systems Engineer to support design, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise IT systems across on‑premises and cloud environments in the Philippines. The role emphasizes stability, performance, and security in a shared services or corporate technology setting.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in server administration, virtualization, and cloud platforms, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering, administration, or enterprise IT support.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server and/or Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, and enterprise backup tools.
• Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS), scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in resolving hardware, OS, and application-level issues.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Server+, or Azure Administrator are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
• Deploy, upgrade, and patch Windows and Linux OS deployments.
• Configure components, monitor performance, ensure availability and security.
• Assist in architecture planning, tooling, and automation of tasks.
• Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, file systems, and GPOs.
• Assist backup, recovery, DR planning, and endpoint security.
• Document configurations, procedures, and logs.
• Collaborate to resolve incidents and fulfill requests with IT, security, and app teams.
• Support compliance, audits, and governance initiatives.

We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to support the design, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise IT systems across on-premises and cloud environments. This role ensures the stability, performance, and security of critical infrastructure that supports business operations in a shared services or corporate technology environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in server administration, virtualization, and cloud platforms, and is comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise systems including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
• Support operating system deployments, upgrades, and patch management across Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Configure system components, monitor performance metrics, and ensure adherence to availability and security standards.
• Participate in system architecture planning, implementation of tools, and automation of recurring tasks.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file systems, and group policies.
• Assist in backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and endpoint security efforts.
• Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and support logs.
• Collaborate with IT support, security, and application teams to resolve incidents and fulfill service requests.
• Support compliance, audit readiness, and infrastructure governance initiatives.
