Job summary

Job description

Basic Purpose

Systems Administrator will handle maintenance and ensure stability on all ERP and In-house servers. He/She is assigned to monitor, administer and oversee the integrity and security of the application servers running in the company and provide support to end-users in case of downtime and system errors. Database backups and its integrity are always ensured.

Major Responsibilities

• Server and Database Administration
  
  
  
  • Directly coordinate with IT Manager on plans of improvement and point of maintenance
  
  
  • Monitor report server status (available space, database size, log size, anti‑virus patch, system logs and application logs) daily on workday's period
  
  
  • Monitor daily if the software patches and antivirus update is updated based upon on the new update available online to ensure security of the application servers and the end-users connected to it
  
  
  • Ensure that backup jobs are created in the servers
  
  
  • Design backup processes for all users and assign security levels
  
  
  • Establish a disaster recovery protocol
  
  
  • Create database management procedures
  
  
  
  


• End user support
  
  
  
  • Constantly check e‑helpdesk for newly delegated concerns related to ERP application and/or Server and Database. No phone requests will be entertained.
  
  
  • Provide backend database support to all users' concerns, escalated by technical section on a timely manner to ensure smooth business operations from the Head office up to the store level
  
  
  • Act as Systems ERP senior in the absences of systems supervisor
  
  
  
  


• Various Report Generation to End-user
  
  
  
  • Provide approved on‑demand reports requested by the end user or any requesting department within the agreed deadline
  
  
  • Revise existing reports as per new requirement of users within the agreed deadline
  
  
  
  

Job Qualification

• Knowledgeable in Database Administration (SQL20•5-12, AS400, MySQL)


• Knowledgeable in computer languages (VB6, VB.net, PHP, SQL Scripting, Java Scripting, HTML, CSS, ASP)


• Highly knowledgeable in MS Office application


• Team player and with ability to motivate teammates to increase productivity


• Able to communicate with other employees in both technical and non‑technical roles


• Good oral and written communication skills


• High analytical skills


• Can work well with minimal supervision
