Job summary

O'Connor's Singapore Pte Ltd in the Philippines seeks a CCTV network engineer to plan, design, and deploy CCTV architectures and integrate them with broader security platforms.

The role requires hands-on configuration of IP cameras, VMS, VLANs, VPNs, and high-availability connectivity; you will guide clients and maintain documentation to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, Hikvision, Axis, Milestone, or equivalent.
• Min. 3 years experience in CCTV deployment and network engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design CCTV network architecture and surveillance coverage.
• Install, configure, and commission IP cameras, DVRs/NVRs, VMS, and related hardware/software.
• Configure routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs, and PoE networks for camera infrastructure.
• Establish high-availability VPN connectivity across multiple CCTV sites.
• Monitor CCTV and network performance; diagnose issues and perform maintenance.
• Apply firmware updates and security patches; resolve vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with CCTV, access control, and IoT teams to integrate solutions.
• Conduct site surveys and risk assessments; recommend enhancements.
• Maintain documentation and network topology diagrams.
• Train clients and internal teams on CCTV operation and security best practices.
• Ensure adherence to standards such as ONVIF, NSI, MOI SSD and local regs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and design CCTV network architecture and effective surveillance coverage

• Install, configure, and commission IP cameras, DVRs/NVRs, video management systems (VMS), and associated hardware/software

• Configure and maintain routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs, and PoE networks supporting camera infrastructure

• Establish high-availability VPN connectivity across multiple CCTV sites

• Monitor CCTV and network performance, diagnose issues, and perform proactive maintenance

• Apply firmware updates, security patches, and resolve vulnerabilities in network devices

• Work alongside CCTV, access control, and IoT teams to integrate solutions into wider security platforms

• Perform site surveys, risk assessments, and recommend enhancements

• Maintain detailed documentation and network topology diagrams

• Train clients and internal teams on CCTV system operation, maintenance, and security best practices

• Ensure adherence to standards such as ONVIF, NSI, MOI SSD, and local regulations

Competence (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, PoE, WAN/LAN, QoS, VPN, multicast routing, HA protocols (VRRP, HSRP)

• Security technologies: IPSec, UTM, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices

• Proficiency with Wireshark/sniffer tools and Linux environments

• Experience with any CCTV platforms: Dahua, Hikvision, Uniview, Hikcentral, Bosch, Milestone will be added advantage

Requirements:

• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast paced and performance driven environment

• Able to converse well with customers on enquiries

• Strong technical knowledge with and certification on in-house products

Education & Experience:
