Job summary

Metrobank in Taguig, Philippines seeks a dedicated SWIFT Operations Supervisor to oversee secure and efficient message processing and maintain system integrity across local and international interfaces. The role requires strong risk awareness and experience with SWIFT systems.

You will authenticate messages, manage SWIFT applications, and support branches such as MB Korea and MB Tokyo while contributing to continuity planning and regular reporting for management.

Qualifications

• Experience in SWIFT operations or IT background related to SWIFT systems.
• Degree in BSIT, CS, or BSBA or IT-related field.
• Strong risk awareness in a zero-tolerance environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day SWIFT shift operations for secure message processing.
• Authenticate SWIFT messages requiring manual verification.
• Perform SWIFT transaction screening and validate false positives.
• Manage SWIFT applications including upgrades and backups.
• Support business units with SWIFT concerns and inquiries.
• Assist international branches with SWIFT system issues.
• Oversee RMA establishment and Telegraphic Test Key arrangements.
• Handle MT940/950 statements uploads/downloads for internal systems.
• Monitor SWIFT server room environmental conditions.
• Contribute to Business Continuity Plan development.
• Extract data from SWIFT systems and generate reports.
• Support SWIFT Customer Security Program and KYC self-attestation.

Job Summary:

Supervises the secured and efficient operations of all foreign / local SWIFT and messages authentications facilities of the bank.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day SWIFT shift operations to ensure secure and efficient message processing.
• Authenticate incoming and outgoing SWIFT messages requiring manual verification.
• Perform SWIFT transaction screening (OPAC, high-risk hits) and validate false positives.
• Manage SWIFT applications, including system upgrades, backups, archiving, and log reviews.
• Support business units with SWIFT concerns, format updates, and operational inquiries.
• Assist international branches (e.g., MB Korea, MB Tokyo) in troubleshooting SWIFT system issues.
• Oversee RMA establishment and Telegraphic Test Key arrangements with financial institutions.
• Handle upload and download of MT940/950 statements for internal systems such as FTP-IM and RFE.
• Monitor SWIFT server room environmental conditions to maintain operational integrity.
• Contribute to Business Continuity Plan development and implementation.
• Extract data from SWIFT systems and generate regular reports for management and business units.
• Support the SWIFT Customer Security Program and perform required KYC self-attestation activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience in SWIFT operations (preferred) or an IT technical background related to SWIFT systems.
• Degree in BSIT, Computer Science, BSBA, or other IT-related courses (ideally 60% technical / 40% banking).
• Strong risk awareness and understanding of a zero-tolerance error environment.
• Mature and adaptable mindset; able to work in a highly critical operations setting.
