I. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
Supply chain associate for Import and export management refers to the processes and activities involved in handling the international trade of goods and services. It encompasses a range of tasks, documentation, to ensure the smooth flow of products from port departure. His/her responsibilities typically include Shipment consolidation, monitoring and process document for departure.
II. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Processing:
- Responsible for consolidating weekly shipments
- Responsible for overseeing the daily loading of items for departure
- Responsible for handling the daily submission of booking requests
- Responsible for the daily container departure coordination with the forwarder
- Responsibility of submitting a weekly request for the ocean freight rate to the authorized forwarder
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Prepare and update shipment consolidation monitoring file
- Prepare weekly Update Shipment container, cbm monitoring file
- Prepare and update shipment forecast consolidation
- Prepare and update shipment arrival monitoring
Customer Inquiries and Issue Resolution
- Coordinate with the Marketing team to remind suppliers of the loading date and other concerns about the shipment departure date.
- Respond promptly to internal/external customer inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service to maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Perform Miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Backup Responsibility
- Responsible for booking an approved shipment request to the forwarder in the absence of an assigned colleague
- Day to day monitoring of shipment transactions in absence of an assigned colleague
- Day to Day update of all transactions with broker and marketing department in the absence of an assigned colleague
- Prepare and update shipment monitoring file daily in the absence of an assigned colleague
Others
- Request for Ocean Freight Approval in the absence of a Supply chain supervisor
- Maybe required to report on weekends for attending trade fairs or scheduled company events.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by their superiors
- Assist colleagues when necessary
