1. Key Responsibilities
1.1 BOM Management & Component Sourcing
- Analyze and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for procurement planning.
- Perform component sourcing based on technical and commercial requirements.
- Evaluate supplier options, availability, lead times, and risks.
- Monitor component lifecycle (EOL, NRND, shortages) and propose mitigation plans.
- Identify alternative components (MPNs) for cost and supply optimization.
1.2 Procurement Execution & Planning
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) based on project and production requirements.
- Monitor PO status, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely procurement to support production timelines.
- Escalate critical shortages and supply risks.
1.3 Supplier Management & Negotiation
- Liaise with suppliers on pricing, availability, and delivery commitments.
- Support negotiation to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor supplier performance and follow up on delivery issues.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
1.4 Quotation & Costing Support
- Support BOM costing and pricing analysis for customer projects.
- Prepare and review service quotations (soldering, testing, PCB services).
- Work with Sales and Engineering teams to ensure competitive pricing.
1.5 ERP (SAP) & Data Management
- Maintain accurate procurement and supplier data in SAP.
- Update PO records, delivery schedules, and vendor information.
- Monitor open PO reports and ensure timely updates and closure.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with documentation standards.
1.6 Logistics & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate incoming shipments and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with warehouse on goods receipt and discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and highlight shortages or excess.
- Support stock take and inventory control activities.
1.7 Quality & Compliance Support
- Coordinate with Quality team on incoming inspection and supplier issues.
- Support RMA processes and supplier corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance documentation (COC, RoHS) is maintained.
- Adhere to company procurement policies and quality standards.
1.8 Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and cost savings.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Sales teams.
- Monitor market trends for electronic components and supply risks.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain operations.
2. Requirements
2.1 Education
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
2.2 Experience
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in EMS, procurement, or supply chain operations.
2.3 Technical Knowledge
- Good understanding of electronic components and BOM structure.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Knowledge of IPC standards is an advantage.
