FILOIL GAS and ENERGY COMPANY, INC. in Metro Manila is seeking a Procurement Engineer to source and evaluate suppliers for engineering materials, equipment, and services, review requisitions, and coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams.
You will prepare RFQs, negotiate terms, monitor orders, ensure compliance with standards, and maintain supplier records, contributing to cost-effective, timely procurement.
Source and evaluate suppliers for engineering materials, equipment, spare parts, tools, and technical services.
Review purchase requisitions, technical specifications, drawings, and other procurement requirements.
Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and other departments to understand technical and operational requirements.
Prepare and process Requests for Quotation (RFQs), canvass suppliers, and evaluate quotations.
Compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, technical compliance, delivery lead time, and payment terms.
Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
Ensure that purchased materials and equipment comply with approved technical specifications and company standards.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding product availability, delivery schedules, documentation, and technical concerns.
Monitor purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely completion.
Assist in evaluating and qualifying new suppliers and contractors.
Maintain an updated supplier database and procurement records.
Work closely with the Engineering and Maintenance teams to identify suitable technical alternatives and cost-effective solutions.
Assist in resolving issues involving defective, incomplete, or non-conforming materials and equipment.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable safety and quality requirements.
Prepare procurement reports, supplier comparisons, and other documentation as required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Preferably with experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, engineering, maintenance, or supply chain operations.
Experience in purchasing technical materials, equipment, spare parts, or industrial supplies is an advantage.
Strong understanding of engineering materials, equipment, tools, and technical specifications.
Knowledge of supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order processes.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience with ERP/procurement systems is an advantage.
Willing to coordinate with suppliers and conduct supplier visits when necessary.
Willing to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with multiple departments.
