Job summary

InvestEd is seeking a Collections Officer to uphold high standards in debt recovery while protecting borrowers. You will manage delinquent accounts, engage student borrowers through approved channels, and negotiate repayment plans that are fair and feasible.

The role requires careful documentation of commitments and proactive collaboration with other teams to resolve repayment blockers. Ideal candidates have at least one year in microfinance collections, strong negotiation and communication

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on collections experience in microfinance.
• Genuine commitment to responsible lending and fair borrower treatment.
• Ability to interpret account information, payment histories and collection performance data.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good judgment, accountability and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage delinquent accounts and follow up on outstanding repayments.
• Engage student borrowers through authorized communication channels.
• Negotiate realistic repayment arrangements and monitor commitments.
• Identify repayment barriers and recommend appropriate next steps.
• Maintain accurate account records and collection reports.
• Work with other teams to resolve issues affecting repayment.
