The role will primarily focus on supporting the Director, interpreting incoming client requirements and turning them into clear, concise briefs for the team leads so they can stay focused on delivery.He/she will act as a central point of coordination between the Director, Senior Engineers, clients, and project teams, ensuring important information is captured, priorities are clear, and work continues to move forward. This role requires someone proactive, dependable, technically capable, and confident exercising sound judgement when managing day-to-day requirements.
Salary Range: PHP 55,000 - 75,000
Work Set-Up: Work onsite | Mon-Fri |8:00AM - 4:30PM
Responsibilities:
- Review incoming client emails, reports, drawings, and technical documentation and identify key requirements, actions, and missing information.
- Interpret technical information and prepare clear, concise job briefs for Senior Engineers and Team Leads.
- Coordinate communication and information flow between the Director and Senior Engineering Team.
- Monitor incoming jobs, priorities, project progress, deadlines, and upcoming work.
- Follow up with Senior Engineers and Team Leads on outstanding actions, requirements, and deliverables.
- Provide the Director with concise and regular updates on project status, priorities, and issues requiring attention.
- Manage document control, drawing revisions, submissions, correspondence, and project records.
- Assist the Director with information gathering, reporting, correspondence, research, and day-to-day follow-ups.
- Coordinate project requirements with Senior Engineers and ensure relevant information is communicated clearly and accurately.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or potential issues in project information and proactively seek clarification.
- Act as a second-in-command and central coordination point to help keep projects and teams organised.
- Provide occasional CAD drafting support, including drawings required for laser cutting.
- Assist with basic structural engineering and technical tasks where required.
- Provide general executive and technical support to the Director.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering concepts and technical documentation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Space Gass or IDEA StatiCa.
- Knowledge of Tekla is preferable.
- Exceptional English reading comprehension and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to understand detailed technical information and communicate the key points clearly and accurately.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and follow-ups.
- Able to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable communicating with senior engineers, management, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while keeping the Director appropriately informed.
- Strong judgement and initiative, with the ability to anticipate what needs to be done and keep work moving.
