ABB in the Philippines is seeking a Civil Engineer to act as a design authority for a structural discipline within our Global eHouse team. You will lead small projects, apply design thinking, and deliver cost-efficient engineering solutions that meet quality standards.

This hybrid role emphasizes collaboration across functions, supporting testing, installation, and commissioning. A strong background in steel structures and proficiency in AutoCAD and STAAD Pro are required, with experience in Oil

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Strong experience in steel structure design and structural analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and STAAD Pro.
• Experience in industrial projects such as Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Mining, or Data Centers.
• Good command of English for global/cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a design authority for a structural discipline on small projects or portions of larger projects.
• Apply design thinking and design for excellence concepts in projects.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assist in preparing proposals/presentations of engineering projects.
• Perform design verification using applicable standards and guidelines.

Senior Engineering Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the ABB Global eHouse Team in ABB Inc Philippines.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
• Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Strong experience in steel structure design and structural analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and STAAD Pro.
