Job summary

ABB in the Philippines seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to act as a design authority for a discipline with low to medium complexity, delivering assignments on small projects or parts of larger ones in a cost-efficient manner.

You will apply design thinking and engineering standards, support testing, installation, and commissioning, and collaborate in a global, cross-functional team within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Strong experience in steel structure design and structural analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and STAAD Pro.
• Experience in industrial projects such as Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Mining, or Data Centers.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, design verification, testing, installation, and commissioning support.
• Good command of English in a global, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects.
• Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.
