Job summary

AMTRAK MACHINERIES & EQUIPMENT OPC is seeking a diligent Purchasing Manager in Metro Manila to oversee all purchasing and procurement activities. You will source suppliers for machineries and parts, negotiate terms, and ensure timely, cost-efficient procurement across departments.

The role requires coordinating with Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and After-Sales, maintaining supplier relations, monitoring inventory, and enforcing compliance with purchasing policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the company’s purchasing activities and procurement processes.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for machineries, equipment, automotive parts, tires, and other company requirements.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other supplier agreements.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of products, parts, materials, and supplies.
• Review purchase requests, quotations, purchase orders, and other procurement documents.
• Monitor supplier performance, product quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and business partners.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Accounting, After Sales, and other departments regarding purchasing requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of fast-moving and critical items.
• Ensure purchased items meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternative suppliers or products when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare procurement reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and approval processes.
• Supervise and guide purchasing staff in their daily activities.
• Perform other purchasing and procurement-related duties as assigned.
