Job summary

Rhenus is seeking a seasoned Country Product Manager - Ocean Freight to lead the ocean product strategy within the country organization. You will drive pricing, tariff management, procurement, and carrier management while aligning with global and regional frameworks.

You will build deep relationships with core carriers, monitor performance, and guide sales teams on focus lanes and pricing actions to maximize profitability and service quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in an ocean product role in a freight forwarding company or ocean carrier.
• Strong ownership mindset with customer focus and proactive attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and align the ocean product strategy with commercial teams and regional product heads.
• Manage local allocations based on commercial requirements and carrier capacity to ensure service stability.
• Negotiate rates, file tariffs, and generate contracts for tenders and large volumes.
• Develop and maintain a competitive tariff structure for local charges and port-related services.
• Lead market intelligence, provide product trainings, and collaborate with regional product teams.
• Act as the interface to ensure consistency and execution of cross-country initiatives.
