• Strong knowledge of both Air Freight Import and Export Operations.
• Mandatory exposure to the West India (Mumbai) Air Freight market.
• Proven leadership experience in managing high-performing operational teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, customer service, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational excellence.
• Working knowledge of customs regulations, airline processes, freight forwarding systems, and trade compliance requirements.
• Ability to drive productivity, profitability, and service quality in a dynamic operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the West Region Air Freight Import Department operations and ensure SOP adherence.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for shipment supervision, exceptions, and high-value shipments.
• Drive efficiency, service quality, productivity, and profitability through process improvements.
• Review performance metrics and implement plans to improve turnaround times and SLAs.
• Coordinate with airlines, co-loaders, brokers, and transport vendors; support procurement and vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies; maintain documentation accuracy.
• Lead and develop the Air Freight Import Operations team; manpower planning and workforce optimization.
