Job summary

Wavemaker Partners in the Philippines is seeking a Communications Associate to join our team and help execute strategy across content, media, events, and portfolio support. You will work closely with the Communications team to ensure consistent messaging and measurable outcomes.

You will manage content publishing, write engaging content, foster media relationships, and help coordinate events, with opportunities to lead projects and grow your scope over time.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in journalism, PR, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong writing and communications skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Channels Management: manage workflows across content publishing, social media, newsletters, SEO, and website; write clear, engaging content aligned with the firm’s vision and editorial standards; coordinate production timelines; identify opportunities to improve content and engagement.
• Public & Media Relations: support and lead PR efforts, build relationships with media, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders; draft press releases, media pitches, and briefing documents; monitor industry developments and opportunities; support crisis communications as needed.
• Events: execute communications campaigns across channels, draft event and media materials, secure speaking opportunities and maintain relationships with media and external partners.
• Project Ownership & Performance Tracking: lead communications initiatives end-to-end; track performance metrics and share insights; coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver outputs on time; support portfolio companies with PR launches and storytelling.
