Job summary

WPP Media Limited’s Wavemaker unit is seeking a Planning Manager in Manila to drive media planning and client growth. You will lead strategic communication planning, collaborating with cross-functional teams across media, data, and technology to deliver impactful campaigns.

The role emphasizes delivering insights, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior staff in a dynamic agency environment with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Lead the over-all strategic communication planning process that will address client’s business needs
• Supervise team’s over-all output to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
• Manage day-to-day client requirements through mentoring junior members of the team
• Appropriate and delegate tasks to individual members of the team, ensuring that they are given adequate time, resources and training to perform the tasks
• Conduct annual and interim review of team members in a thorough and professional manner
• Build and maintain a productive relationship with clients and team members
• Assist with fee and contract negotiation as well as other aspect of the business
• Work with the client to arrive at the best processes/ system for managing their business
• Work with other teams/departments to promote clients interest with strategically important media owners
• Take part in new business pitches and provide insightful and comprehensive communications solutions for the agency and its clients
