Job summary

MVP Asia Pacific Inc. is seeking a Stormwater Design Draftsperson to join our onsite team in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines.

You will support engineers with calculations, catchment delineations, and drainage design while preparing AutoCAD drawings for drainage plans. Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering background, exposure to stormwater projects, and experience with AutoCAD and relevant guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Background in stormwater, drainage or flood projects preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and drainage/hydraulic calculations.
• Australian project exposure, especially Queensland/SEQ standards, a plus.
• Familiarity with QUDM and local SEQ schemes is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering calculations: catchment delineation and rational method.
• Conduct pipe sizing, detention/bioretention specs and surface drainage analysis.
• Coordinate with engineers, civil designers and drafters on designs.
• Prepare stormwater drawings: surveys, catchment plans, drainage layouts.
• Detail detention tanks and bioretention basins; ensure accuracy.

Stormwater Design Draftsperson (Onsite)

Job Description:

Engineering Calculations and Design Support:

• Under the supervision of an Engineer, assist with:
  • Catchment delineation
  • Rational Method calculations
  • Pipe sizing and capacity calculations
  • Detention/Bioretention specifications
  • Surface drainage analysis
  • Stormwater quality catchment delineations and area calculations
  • Review existing drainage infrastructure, easements and drainage reserves
  • Identify potential Lawful Points of Discharge
  • Coordinate with engineers, civil designers and drafters

Stormwater Design Drafting:

• Prepare stormwater management drawings using AutoCAD, including:
  • Survey setups
  • Pre- and post-development catchment plans
  • Concept and detailed drainage plans
  • Detention tanks detailing
  • Bioretention/detention basin detailing
  • MUSIC and External Catchment plans
  • Invert level calculations
  • Detailing proprietary product treatment devices
  • Coordination with the civil engineering team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or any related field.
• Background and exposure to stormwater, drainage or flood-related projects.
• Experience using AutoCAD, with exposure to catchment analysis, drainage design, pipe sizing, and stormwater calculations.
• Australian project experience, particularly exposure to Queensland or SEQ standards, is a plus.
• Basic understanding of relevant industry guidelines including but not limited to QUDM, Healthy Waterways bioretention guidelines and local SEQ Council planning scheme policies and standards.
• General understanding of stormwater hydrology and hydraulic concepts is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with Engineers, Civil Designers, and Drafters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
