Job summary

WSP in the Philippines is seeking a Drainage Design Engineer to join the Transport Roads and Civil Team. You will undertake surface water drainage and cross drainage design for roads and civil projects, coordinating with drafters to produce design drawings and reports.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, be a licensed Civil Engineer, and have experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modelling tools such as 12D, HECRAS, MUSIC, and TuFlow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and professional licensure.
• Experience in drainage design for roads and civil projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling for drainage design.
• Proficiency with 12D and related modelling tools is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake surface water drainage and cross drainage design for roads, rail and civil projects.
• Understanding of pavement and subsurface drainage design for roads and civil projects.
• Design and model water quality measures for roads and civil projects.
• Liaise with drafters to produce the design drawings.
• Prepare drainage design reports.
• Assist in developing less experienced engineers in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Civil Engineer.
• Proven recent Australian experience drainage design for major transport projects is an advantage.
• Have a good understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling packages used in the design of road drainage, cross drainage and flood analysis, and ancillary drainage items such as scour protection and water quality control.
• Proficiency in 12D for drainage design and analysis, is highly desirable, and experience in packages such as HECRAS, MUSIC, TuFlow, would be advantageous.
• A desire to develop skills and use Bentley SUDA for drainage design and analysis
• High attention to details, excellent client-focus and ability to deliver quality output within the timeline.
