STAFF X seeks a Civil Engineer to perform residential stormwater drainage design for Australian projects from a home office. This full-time, dedicated role supports a single client and emphasizes accuracy, timely delivery, and professional growth.

You will produce drainage plans and hydraulic calculations, apply South Australian standards, use AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Excel, and communicate with a distributed team via Teams. Over time, you may check peers' work and hand off to clients.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D with 2–3 years of hands-on experience producing drawings.
• Experience in Australian residential stormwater design, with SA council requirements.
• Proficient with Excel for stormwater calculations and workflows.
• Ability to work independently on residential stormwater jobs with strict timelines.
• Strong English communication and collaboration via Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete residential stormwater design jobs across single dwellings and small multi-dwelling projects.
• Produce drainage plans and hydraulic calculations to high quality with minimal rework.
• Maintain consistent daily output and manage varying job complexity.
• Submit designs for review, incorporate feedback, and finalize drawings for client submission.
• Follow SA council requirements and Australian standards for compliance.
• Communicate blockers and progress via Teams during work hours.
• Progress toward independently checking others' work and submitting plans directly to clients.
