The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in store operations supervision, preferably in furniture retail, and a four-year degree. The position focuses on sales growth, customer engagement, and maintaining brand standards on the shop

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager through effective administration of the department to achieve smooth day-to-day operations and efficient customer service.
• Contribute to Sales Achievement Plan by meeting and exceeding sales goals and promoting appropriate items.
• Engage customers to ensure high satisfaction levels and support staff on the selling floor.
• Follow cash handling policies, maintain brand image and housekeeping standards, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Responsible for assisting the Store Manager through effective administration of the department to achieve a smooth day-to-day operations and efficient customer service.

Key Accountabilities

Sales Achievement Plan

• Meets and exceed the company’s sales goals and service standards on a consistent basis.
• Creates additional sales opportunities by promoting and suggesting other appropriate items.
• Attends and participate in store meetings, company training sessions as required furthering the development of skills to meet the company’s objectives.
• Adheres to policies/standards to achieve the sales targets.

Customer Engagement

• Ensures high levels of customers’ satisfaction through excellent service.
• Spends most of his/her time on the selling floor meeting customers and assisting and managing staff.

Store Operations

• Consistently follow and abide by the company’s established registers and cash handling policies and procedures.
• Actively participates and supports the company’s safety and security standards at all times.
• Assists in meeting the company’s brand image and housekeeping standards.
• Ensures promotions are accurate and in tune with company’s standards.
• Assists in the implementation of safety measures in consonance with corporate security standards for the safety and security of merchandise, customers and employees.

Merchandise and Stock Management

• Supports and participates in the inventory management functions to include: receiving procedures, transfers, pricing procedures, product counts and physical inventories as required.
• Maintains inventory and ensure items are in stock.
