Job summary

Our Home in Metro Manila is seeking a results-driven Merchandise Manager to lead the development and execution of merchandise strategies that meet business goals across channels.

You will oversee planning, assortment, inventory health, promotions, and vendor partnerships while guiding a merchandising team to deliver compelling home furnishings.

Qualifications

• Education in marketing, commerce or sales is required.
• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience as Merchandise Manager.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to analyze promotions, marketing strategies and range reviews.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute merchandise strategies to meet business unit goals.
• Plan merchandise assortments and manage inventory levels.
• Review performance metrics like sales, inventory, and discounts.
• Forecast sales and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms.
• Lead and coordinate the merchandising team.

Key Accountabilities

1. Merchandise Planning
   
   
   
   • Market Research and Identify Trends to stay up to date with Industry and Consumer Demands
   
   
   • Drive the Category to full potential
   
   
   • Review performance indicators (e.g. inventory, sales, and discount levels)
   
   
   • Write reports and forecast sales levels on a weekly and monthly basis, as needed
   
   
   
   


2. Assortment and Inventory Management
   
   
   
   • Ensure Correct Assortment
   
   
   • Timely Entry, Adjustment, Tracking, and Ensure Sufficient Inventory
   
   
   • Ensure Health of Inventory
   
   
   • Prepare and Execute Inventory Programs (Promos, Markdowns, Mark-up, etc)
   
   
   • Supports Online, E-comm and any Future Expansions
   
   
   
   


3. Vendor Management
   
   
   
   • Meet suppliers and negotiate terms of contract
   
   
   • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products
   
   
   • Collaborate with Vendors for Business Development
