Job summary

Genesys Manila is seeking a Statutory Reporting Accountant to manage day-to-day statutory accounting and external reporting, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.

The role drives process improvements, supports external audits, and collaborates with cross-functional teams. A professional accounting qualification and 2+ years of relevant experience, including audit/external reporting, are required.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant, RA, CPA).
• Minimum of 2 years of overall professional experience, incl. 2 years in audit/external reporting, preferably Big 4 or multinational.
• Strong IFRS knowledge; familiarity with other standards is a plus.
• Experience in preparing cash flow statements and consolidated financial statements.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills are a must.
• Self-starter with initiative and problem-solving abilities; able to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day statutory accounting and external reporting for assigned entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in statutory reporting processes aligned with automation, standardization, and simplification strategy.
• Serve as liaison for external auditors on assigned audits, ensuring timely delivery of audit requirements.
• Collaborate with Controllership, Tax, Treasury, Legal, HR, and external accounting firms to ensure accuracy and timeliness of statutory data.
• Support onboarding of new accounting firms and auditors, including procurement requests and setup coordination.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
