Job summary

Genesys Manila is seeking a Statutory Reporting Accountant to join the Finance - Controllership Team. The role focuses on statutory compliance and external reporting across Genesys subsidiaries in a dynamic, international environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Chartered Accountant/CPA, with 2+ years in audit or external reporting, and strong IFRS knowledge. Proficiency in Workday Financials and automation tools is a plus, with advanced Excel skills required. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA).
• At least 2 years in audit or external reporting, preferably Big 4 or multinational.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with other standards is a plus.
• Proven experience in cash flow statements and consolidated financial statements.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Workday Financials, OneSource Statutory Reporting software preferred.
• Experience with low-code/no-code platforms and workflow automation tools such as Power Platform, Smartsheet and SharePoint is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day statutory accounting and external reporting for assigned entities.
• Drive improvement in statutory reporting processes aligning with automation and standardization.
• Serve as primary liaison for external auditors on assigned audits.
• Collaborate with Controllership, Tax, Treasury, Legal, HR and external accounting firms.
• Support onboarding of new accounting firms and auditors including procurement setup.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Title: Statutory Reporting Accountant

We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented finance professional to join our Statutory Reporting team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, supporting statutory compliance and financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of Genesys subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day statutory accounting and external reporting for assigned entities, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in statutory reporting processes, aligned with our automation, standardization, and simplification strategy.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors on assigned audits, ensuring efficient coordination and timely delivery of audit requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Controllership, Tax, Treasury, Legal, HR, and external accounting firms to ensure accuracy and timeliness of statutory financial data.
• Support onboarding of new accounting firms and auditors, including procurement requests and setup coordination.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant, RA, CPA).
• Minimum of 2 years of overall professional experience, including at least 2 years of experience in audit and/or external reporting, preferably within a Big 4 firm or multinational corporation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with other accounting standards is a plus.
• Proven experience in preparing cash flow statements and consolidated financial statements.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Workday Financials, OneSource Statutory Reporting software is preferred
• Experience with low-code/no-code platforms and workflow automation tools such as Microsoft Power Platform, Smartsheet, and SharePoint is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills are a must.
• Self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative working relationships.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
