Job summary

MicroSourcing in the Philippines seeks a Sr. Salesforce QA Engineer to lead testing for Salesforce projects onsite at Mall of Asia, Pasay City. You will define test strategies, create detailed test plans, and ensure quality across releases.

You will collaborate with developers, BAs, and offshore teams, own testing milestones, and drive high-quality results with strong English communication and Jira usage.

Qualifications

• 4+ years QA experience in Salesforce environments.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce data model, objects, and configuration (Flows, Validation Rules, Permissions).
• Experience owning test strategy for Salesforce releases, beyond executing predefined tests.
• Proven ability to write structured test plans and detailed test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Proficient with Jira and excellent English communication, able to collaborate across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Review user stories and acceptance criteria to craft clear test plans and edge-case test cases.
• Define and own the test strategy for each release, balancing manual, regression, functional, integration, and UAT testing.
• Execute tests across Salesforce sandboxes before production, validating data migrations and integrations.
• Log, prioritize, and track defects with reproducible steps and evidence; maintain test docs and defect logs.
• Collaborate with Developers, BAs, and stakeholders to estimate testing effort and ensure test coverage before deployment.

Your Role

• Review user stories and acceptance criteria to develop clear, traceable test plans and test cases, including edge cases not explicitly stated.
• Define and own the overall test strategy for each release, balancing manual, regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing against sprint and release timelines.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across Salesforce sandboxes prior to production deployment, validating data migrations and integration flows for accuracy and completeness.
• Log, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution using agreed tooling, providing clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, and maintaining comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, regression suites, and defect logs.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout sprint ceremonies to provide testing estimates, clarify expected behavior, confirm acceptance criteria are testable, proactively identify quality risks, and own release sign-off by confirming test coverage and outstanding risks before deployment.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Minimum of 4+ years of QA experience within a Salesforce environment.
• Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, standard objects, and common Salesforce configuration, including Flows, Validation Rules, and Permissions.
• Demonstrated experience owning the test strategy for Salesforce releases, not just executing pre-written test cases.
• Proven experience writing structured test plans and detailed test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira, with excellent written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with an Australia-based team across multiple time zones.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Salesforce Certified Administrator and/or Platform App Builder certification.
• Experience testing integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems.
• Exposure to Agile and Scrum software delivery environments.
• Previous experience working as part of an offshore delivery team supporting an Australian business.
• Strong understanding of quality metrics, including defect escape rates, test coverage against acceptance criteria, sprint testing turnaround times, and high-quality defect reporting with clear reproducibility, prioritization, and supporting evidence.
