Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a QA Analyst in Cebu for hands-on testing of web and backend systems. You will design and execute test plans, perform functional and regression testing, and collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure quality. This role requires 2–4 years in software QA and familiarity with test management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience in manual testing for web or application-based systems.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across web and/or backend systems.
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard issue tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure product quality.
• Support release cycles by validating deployments and ensuring production readiness.

Your Role

What You Need

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience in automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
• Understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman or similar
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
