Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer in Eastwood, Quezon City, with an onsite setup and shifting schedule. The role focuses on QA testing across web and mobile workflows, bug reproduction, and assisting with frontend updates and tooling.

You will work on regression testing, ticket validation, and maintaining QA documentation while collaborating with support teams to resolve issues. A strong emphasis on script-building and thorough documentation helps ensure release quality.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of technical experience in software QA, support engineering, or junior software development.
• Script-building experience, preferably with JavaScript/TypeScript/Node background.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate technical issues independently.
• Comfortable reading and understanding application workflows.
• Familiarity with Jira ticketing system.

Responsibilities

• Execute regression and smoke testing across web and mobile workflows to ensure release quality.
• Validate completed tickets against acceptance criteria and document bugs clearly for engineering review.
• Maintain and improve QA checklists, test scenarios, and internal documentation.
• Investigate product issues escalated by internal support teams and reproduce reported bugs.
• Resolve minor data or configuration issues directly when appropriate.
• Escalate validated defects with clear documentation to minimize interruption to core engineers.
• Complete low-complexity development tasks including front-end updates and minor fixes.
• Support testing and implementation of scoped product enhancements.

Your Role

As a Technical Operations Engineer, you will:

• Support testing and implementation of scoped product enhancements

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• 1-3 years of technical experience in software QA, support engineering, or junior software development
• Script-building experience, preferably with a JavaScript/TypeScript/Node background
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate technical issues independently
• Comfortable reading and understanding application workflows
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira
• Ability to work onsite in Eastwood, Quezon City, and in shifting schedules
• Strong written communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills / Expertise

Basic coding ability preferred (JavaScript / TypeScript / SQL exposure helpful)

Experience supporting web and mobile applications

Exposure to release management or DevOps practices

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Ability to assist in internal tooling and process improvements
